One Room Challenge: Week 5

It is week 5 of the One Room Challenge. As you may have noticed I totally missed week 4 update. I have a hard time being motivated to write about construction. It’s slow, not pretty and is boring. However, I can appreciate that without it, nothing would be accomplished. It’s a means to an end. Even though it appears progress is stagnant I know it is not. My husband has successfully put up studs for walls, installed a pocket door enclosure, rerouted air vents, and installed lights all where there was nothing before.

If you recall we are creating a brand new bathroom from our existing laundry room. Before we could even start on plumbing he had to replumb the upstairs bathroom. The pipes were copper and needed replacing. (Leaks galore when we opened up the ceiling). Our house is older (built 1963) so it seems everytime we take 1 step forward we are going 2 steps back. On the bright side, I am incredibly thankful and blessed my husband has the will and nohow to fix it all. Seriously, won the lottery with this guy. He does all the hard stuff.

So, that about wraps up this week. This weekend we are hoping to get plumbing finished and drywall up. Wish us luck!
Don’t forget to hop on over to the ORC and check out the other participants.
